Elizabeth Julane "Julie" Tisdale of Manvel, Texas, went to her heavenly home on March 27th at 2:55 am.  She was born in Houston, Texas and lived there her entire life.

She is proceeded in death by her brother John "Sonny" Tisdale, great nephew, Enoch Tisdale.  Julie is survived by her lifelong partner, Melodie McGregor and their dog Baxter; her parents, Nancy & Buddy Tisdale; brother, Joel (Patty) Tisdale; son, James Dean "JD" (Bethany) Stinnett, grandson James Dean "JJ" Jr.; granddaughter, Ashleigh Nicole Stinnett; nephew, Jared (Adrianne) Tisdale and their children, Jordan, Moriah, and Semira; Sarai (Matt) Hopp and their children, Cameron, Jaycie, and Caiden; and all the many other aunts, uncles, & cousins.  Not only was she blessed with an amazing family, but Julie was also blessed with the most extraordinary, incredible, loyal, life-long friends that became her family.

Julie fought a hard fight with pancreatic cancer, but she was steadfast in her faith in God, which kept her strong in the battle. After being diagnosed with cancer, Julie told her mom that she was in a "win win" situation.  If she lived, she would be with us, if she didn't, she would be with Jesus.  Win! Win!

As a young person, Julie went on mission trips to the valley every summer.  She wanted to make a difference in people's lives and be sure everyone knew about Jesus.

Julie loved working with her dad, (actually she liked working with almost anyone). She and her dad worked on cars, trucks, boats, houses, fences, washing machines, refrigerators, electric wiring, jeeps and many, many, other things.  She was a "get er done" girl.

Julie was a trooper in this fight and never complained about anything, from the start to the finish.  Even when friends were helping her with moving about and they could tell they were hurting her, they would apologize and she would say "It's ok, I'm ok."  She was so caring about their feelings, when she was hurting so bad herself.  She remained her Julie self, always caring about the other person more than herself.

Julie was very active in her life; she played basketball in high school and fast pitch softball after high school.  Then she played co-ed and women's slow pitch softball.  With that, she played many nights during the week and practically every weekend.   After that, came kayaking.  Julie had a group that kayaked together, and she so enjoyed that.  She got to kayak with a group of manatees, which she touched when they swam under her kayak.  Then came camping, hiking, and e-biking…. It was always something on the go.  Although Julie was so active, she really enjoyed time at home doing nothing.  She loved just sitting on the couch, with her beloved dog Baxter, who was insistent to lay on her whenever she was still!

Julie started working for HL&P, which became CenterPoint Energy, right out of high school and retired from there with 37 years of service.  Julie thoroughly enjoyed 6 years of retirement life with Melodie, constantly going and doing everything they ever wanted to do!

Julie had a huge heart and always was there to help anyone in need.  She also was somewhat hardheaded – but that seemed to be one of her attributes that made you love her.
