Elizabeth Ann Pieberhofer went to be with the Lord on September 16, 2023. Liz was born on June 25, 1943, in Burgaw, North Carolina to Crosca and Arti Williamson.

After graduation from Penderlea High School Liz moved to Hampton, Virginia to stay with her brother, Lamerle. There Liz went to work in a 5 & 10 cent store where she met Josef Pieberhofer who was from Austria. Josef knew just enough English to be able to date Liz.

After one year of college, Liz decided to marry Josef. Liz overcame the objection of her mother in marrying a foreigner and a Catholic. Liz and Josef were married on the 5th of August 1962. They moved to Richmond, Virginia where Liz worked for the Chesapeake And Potomac Telephone Company.

A letter came stating that Josef was drafted into the Army. After Josef's basic training, Liz courageously drove from Richmond to Fort Polk, Louisiana all by herself. Liz went to work at the Folk Polk Library until Josef's discharge in 1965. At that time they moved to Houston where she started working for NASA. The highlight of her career at NASA was being in the Control Room when NASA astronauts landed on the moon. She retired with 35 years of service.

Liz is survived by her loving husband, Josef, of 61 years, her brother Bob Williamson, her nieces Diane Rivenbark and Connie Crocker, and nephews Robert Williamson, Steve Williamson, and Lonnie Wood.

Treasured memories and enduring love will always remain in our hearts for our precious Liz.

The memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00pm., Saturday, October 21st, at Crossroads United Methodist Church at 10030 Scarsdale Blvd, Houston, Texas 77089.
