At 5:11am on August 11, 2022 Elda Garza Gomez of Houston, TX passed away with many of her loved ones by her side.The fifth of 13 Children, Elda was always surrounded by her loved ones until the day she was called home.

Elda grew up in Hebbronville, Texas until she moved to Houston in 1968 where she and Polo started their family legacy. Elda enjoyed her life as a homemaker and was well known for her delicious cooking, and she loved having people around to feed. She also enjoyed spending time in the casinos and watching Dallas Cowboy football.

She is preceded in death by her parents Leopoldo and Celia Garza, Brothers Servando (Buck), Polo, Juan, and Rene and sister Gloria. Elda is survived by her Loving husband Leopoldo of 53 years, son Rene Alfredo (Linda), and daughters Ruby (Patricia Perez) and Raquel (Joe Venusto) as well as her wonderful grandchildren Mandi (Brenda Liguez), Noah and Joshua,and great grandchildren Juliet and Logan.

The visitation will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, Friday, August 19, from 10am until 12:00pm., followed by a Mass at St. Luke Catholic Church at 1:00pm.
