Earl Charles Mattle, III was born on June 2, 1955 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Earl Charles Mattle, Jr. and Maria Esther Diaz. He passed away peacefully on August 15, 2022 with his family by his side at the age of 67. Earl was the second born of three children which included his older sister, Ella, and younger brother, Edwin. He spent much of his childhood in Buena Park, California, and Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico. After moving to Houston, he met the love of his life, Sandra (Lopez) Mattle who he was married to for 44 years and had two wonderful children.

Earl was a hardworking man and loved to stay busy. In 2006, he opened his own valve business, Mattle Valve Products (MVP) where he enjoyed working for himself. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing or hunting. Earl was a big fan of western movies and comedies. He loved being surrounded by family and planning family reunions.

Earl is preceded in death by his parents and his son Earl Charles Mattle, IV. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Mattle, daughter, Jennifer (Mattle) Tremont and son-in-law Matt Tremont, his grandchildren Claire and Luke Tremont, and his sister Ella Mattle Trinidad and family, and his brother Edwin Mattle and family.

Earl will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was positive, funny, and very strong-headed. He loved his family more than anything in the world, especially his grandchildren.

The family is grateful for the numerous healthcare workers and doctors who took care of him over the last decade at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 22, at 6pm at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Road, Houston, Texas 77089.
