Earl Wayne Hailey went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 12, 2023. The Lord blessed him with 81 years of life. Earl was born in Bremond, TX on March 12, 1941 to Earl Andrew Hailey, and his wife Annie Mae Craft. Family moved from Bremond to Jacinto City, Tx in 1949. Earl graduated from Galena Park Senior High in 1959.

Earl Wayne had two sisters, Cecil and Diane, and 8 double first cousins. Earl Wayne was married to the love of his life, Judy McCoy Hailey, for 51 years. Together they raised 5 children Earl Jr., Darrell Ray, Jimmy Don, Darla Kay, and Christopher Wayne.

Starting in 1963, Earl Wayne entered the grain export industry dedicating 46 years of service. He worked in both the private and government sectors in plants all over the greater Houston area. While working in the industry he had the honor of working and training all his sons and grandsons. After retirement he was called back for another 8 years. Earl Wayne was held in high regard and well respected in the grain export industry. Throughout his successful 54 year career, he made lifelong friendships that he cherished until being called back home to be with the Lord.

Having a love for baseball, Earl was blessed to coach all 4 of his sons while playing in little league. He continued this passion on to the next generation where he would have daily conversations with his grandsons on baseball and the Houston Astros. Earl Wayne being a man of faith instilled many qualities into his marriage and children's lives. These qualities are what led him to be a great husband and a great father. Being members of three churches, First Baptist of Jacinto City, Second Baptist of Jacinto City, and Sagemont Church, Earl raised his family to know and have a personal relationship with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Survivors include wife Judy, children Darrell and Tina Hailey, Darla and Drue Lackey, Jimmy Hailey, and Chris Hailey. Sister Diane and Donald Ellis. Grandchildren Jessica Hailey Norwood, Joshua Hailey, Cory Hailey, Clayton Lackey, Haley Lackey Smith. Great-Grandchildren Jaden Norwood, Parker Norwood, Summer Lackey, Colin Lackey, Avery Hailey, Brantley Hailey, Rylie Hailey, Theo Smith. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Cecil, son Earl Jr., and grandson Earl Wayne III.

Earl Wayne will be greatly missed and always LOVED!

The service will be held at Peevey Funeral Home Thursday, February 16, at 7:00pm., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held privately.
