Earl James Baker Jr., 90, passed away peacefully at his residence March 10, 2022, surrounded by love and family. A long-time resident of Pasadena, Texas, Earl retired from Ellington Air Force Base and the Texas Air National Guard. He enjoyed Sunday School at South Main Baptist church and was a regular at early morning coffee gatherings with his buddies at Skillets where he was treated like family by his favorite waitresses. A true cowboy, Earl spent many years participating in cow dog trials and competitions as well as working cows on the West Ranch.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Earl James Baker Sr. and Gladys Mills Baker, and brother, Frank Baker. Earl is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Shirley Baker; his daughter Linda Osburn and husband Kerry, sons Earl "Bubba" J. Baker III, and Charles Baker and wife Sara; six cherished grandchildren and five great grandchildren as well as many other relatives and lifelong friends.

Earl will be buried at Independence Cemetery in Shiro, Texas at a private family service.
