On Thursday, May 25, 2023, Dudley James Rayner, Sr. passed away at the age of 65. Dudley was born on March 12, 1958, in Houston, Texas. He worked in the printing industry for over 20 years before following his dream to be his own boss. On October 10, 1981, he married the love of his life, Regina Halata, and together they raised two children, DJ and Jennifer.

Dudley's most cherished memories were with his family on Lake Travis. Becoming a Papa to Anna Lilly was one of the greatest joys of his life. He had a passion for spending time with his family, boating, horse racing, and Houston sports. Dudley was a great listener without a judgmental bone in his body, who never missed a chance to help someone in need.

Dudley was preceded in death by his parents Jimmy and Anna Rayner, his in-laws Bernard and Dorothy Halata, and his brother-in-laws David Halata and Bob Minter. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Regina Rayner, his son DJ Rayner (Haley), his daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Andrew Johnson, his granddaughter Anna Lilly Johnson, his sister Cathy Minter, his brother-in-laws Michael Halata (Linda), Richard Halata (Celeste), Tom Halata, Mark Halata (Cathy), his sister-in-laws Diane Halata, Mary Wiseman (Walt), Theresa Berger (Bruce), and countless nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive friends at Peevey Funeral Home, Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm., the service will begin at 6:30pm.
