Dorothy Jean Frisby was born January 27, 1933, in El Dorado, Arkansas to Sadie Marie Atkins and she passed peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on May 25, 2026.

Dorothy married her high school sweetheart Mitchell Dean Frisby June 4, 1951, soon after they were married, she followed Mitchell into the service and they eventually landed in Houston, Texas.

She found joy in life's simple blessings like gardening, baking, cooking, shelling pecans and canning peaches every year and spending treasured time with those she loved most. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and welcome where family and friends always knew they belonged.

Dorothy touched many lives through her faith, kindness, and servant's heart. Alongside her husband, Mitchell, she faithfully followed the call to ministry, where together they founded Salt Inn Ministries and dedicated their lives to serving others.

She wasn't the type for big speeches or hugs every minute of the day. She showed love in her own way by being there, handling things and by making sure everyone else was okay. She could be stubborn at times, strong-willed, funny and the kind of person you knew would tell you the truth whether you liked it or not.

As a mom and Nonnie too many, she built a family with hard work, loyalty, and love that didn't need words. You just knew she cared.

The house feels quieter now. The stories, the advice, the little comments - those are the things we'll miss the most.

And even though she's gone, she's still with us in the way we talk, the stories we share, the advice we give, the little comments we make, the things we cook, the lessons we carry and the strength she passed down to all of us.

We will miss her deeply, but we'll remember her exactly as she was.

Dorothy is preceded in death by husband Mitchell Frisby, daughters Mary Cook, Katherine Frisby, Denise Frisby, Michelle Mares, and son Darrell Frisby.

She is survived by Daughter - Debra Radcliff, Grandchildren - Yvonne Golnick, Michael Bryant, Kimberly Bryant, Natalie Frisby, Dena Cornell, Cortneay Gomez, Cade Radcliff, Jessica Trotti, Jacob Mares, Justin Mares, along with great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The service will be held  at 11:00am. Friday, May 29, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
