Donna Cook Hausler Matthews was born on April 22, 1965. She was raised in Texas City by her parents Dorothy and John W. Cook Jr. She attended Texas City High School where she graduated in 1983. She moved to the Sagemont area of Houston in 1985 where she raised her children and lived her life to its fulfillment, passing away on February 17, 2024.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, John W. Cook Jr. and Dorothy B. Cook of Texas City. She is survived by her brother John M. Cook of Texas City, her son Matthew Hausler and wife Rebecca of Alvin, and her son Nathan Hausler and wife Alyssa of Manvel.

She served as stepmother to Nicole Matthews, DD Matthews, and Josh Matthews.

Donna was the very proud Granny to 10 grandchildren; Jett, baby June, Greyson, Payton, Colton, McKenzie, Reid, Aubrey, Cheyenne and Deacon.

She is also survived by cousins. Lisa Knight McCreery and Alice McCluskey Jensen as well as numerous other cousins from Louisiana and Texas.

Donna attended business and accounting classes from 1983 to 1986 at San Jacinto College and College of the Mainland. She worked as an office manager, an accounts manager, and an assistant controller for multiple automotive dealerships in the Houston area throughout her career.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00am Friday, March 1, 2024, at Peevey Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas.
