Donna Ruth Cartwright passed away peacefully at her home in League City, Texas on May 18, 2025, at the age of 72.

Donna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her son, Ryan Cartwright and his wife Tammy of Friendswood, TX; and her daughter, Courtney Cartwright of League City, TX. She was lovingly known as "Onna" to her cherished grandchildren: Cooper and Lane of Friendswood, and Madelyn of League City.

Donna is also survived by her brother-in-law Gary and wife Kathleen Cartwright of Taylorsville, UT; sister-in-law Shelley and husband Robert Esplin of Cedar City, UT; and sister-in-law Sharon Cartwright of Menifee, CA. She leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Cartwright; her mother, Billie Ruth Romano; her father, Ernest Joseph Romano; and her brother, Bill Romano.

Born on March 5, 1953, in Houston, Texas, Donna graduated from Sterling High School in 1971. In 1975, she married the love of her life, Michael, and together they built a warm and joyful home in Pearland, TX, where they raised their family. Donna found great joy in motherhood and family life; and treasured their summer vacations exploring different parts of the United States.

Later in life, Donna began a fulfilling career in real estate, which she enjoyed for several years. Her warmth, kindness, and dedication to others were evident in everything she did.

A visitation and funeral service will be held on May 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Peevey Funeral Home, followed by burial at Southpark Cemetery in Pearland. A reception will follow at 1603 Stoney Lake, Friendswood, TX. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Donna's life.

Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her beloved husband and family who passed before her. Donna will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
