Donald Kent Moon, 76, of Pasadena, TX, passed away surrounded by his family in the early morning hours of September 2, 2025. He was a Christian man who loved God.

Born on June 20, 1949, in Pasadena, TX, to Milford Donald Moon and Scottie Sue Moon, Don was the eldest of 3 children. He met his beloved wife, Frankie Pursley, when they were 17 years old, and they remained sweethearts from then on. They married on July 26, 1968. In their 57-year marriage, they became parents of a daughter, Sheri Ann, and a son, Benjamin Scott.

Don graduated from South Houston High School in 1967. He was an exceptional athlete, playing baseball, basketball, football, and track each year. He was the quarterback of the Trojan varsity team during all his high school years. Don received a football scholarship to West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas, and earned a bachelor's degree.

He had a successful sales career in the oil and gas industry.  He will be remembered by those who knew him for his love of fishing, golfing, cooking, and playing softball and flag football in his younger years.

Don is survived by his beloved wife Mary Frances "Frankie" Moon, his daughter, Sheri Moon Minard(husband Scott), son, Benjamin Scott Moon, grandson, Vonn Scott Minard, brother, Tim Moon(wife Lorie), sisters-in-law, Martha Childs and Sandy Pursley, and numerous nieces and nephews. His fur baby, Moka, was his constant companion and source of great joy each day as he fought his illnesses.

A graveside service will be held at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, TX, on Saturday, September 13th, 2025, at 10 am.

Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life after the service at a family member's home.
