Dennis Ray Roese, lovingly known for his warm heart and welcoming home, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

He was born on February 16,1954, in Pasadena, Texas to William and Loretta Roese.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 46 years, La Verne Roese; their daughter, Caise Richburg, her husband, Mackenzie Richburg, along with their daughter, Everleigh; his sister, Venita McMane, and her husband, Bill McMane; son, Jarrod and his wife, Shawn, and their son, Coy; and Sister Sandra Potter; as well as many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who were blessed to know him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Loretta Roese; his niece, Danea Potter; and his brother-in-law Daniel Potter.

He worked as a chemical operator for 46 years. He had a lifelong passion for building hot rods and restoring classic cars. He enjoyed playing dominoes and card games with family and friends, as well as gathering with his breakfast club. Hunting and fishing were among his favorite pastimes, and on Friday nights, he could often be found wandering through car shows or attending boat and car races.

Dennis never met a stranger, and his greatest joy came from spending time with the people he loved. He was a loving husband, father, pawpaw, brother, and brother-in-law. His kindness, humor, and generous spirit will be remembered always.

His memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

The service will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, Sunday, May 3, at 2:00pm, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
