Delo Preston Williams, 98, of Pasadena, Tx, entered into eternal peace Sunday, February 27, 2022.

Delo was born on June 1, 1923 to George and Mabel Williams in Burkburnett, Texas. Soon after graduating from Bryson High School in 1942 Delo reported to Fort Sam Houston where he would enter into the US Army serving honorably with the Anti Tank Company 290 Infantry Regiment before being discharged in 1946 with the rank of Technician Fourth Grade.

After leaving the army he spent the next 35 years traveling the world first working for Aramco in Saudi Arabia and then working for Saybolt Inspection Services in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Libya and Colombia. During one of his travels he met Liliana Cianchetti and in 1952 they were married in Rome, Italy. Together they continued traveling the world visiting more than 75 countries.

In 1982 Delo and Liliana joined their children back in Texas where he continued working for Saybolt until his retirement in 1994 as Senior Vice-president of Marketing after which he spent his time enjoying his hobbies of gardening, cooking, antiquing and wine. He took time to pen about his life in writings he called "Before I Forget". They included stories about his early childhood days in Bulcher and Gladewater during the depression where his family worked the cotton fields and the oil fields, to stories about the many countries he was able to see and all the interesting people he met along the way.

Delo was preceded in death by his loving wife Liliana Cianchetti Williams; parents George and Mabel Williams; sisters Ina Jo Parker and Sybil Wienel.

He is survived by his son Robert George Williams (Elizabeth); daughter Leslie Williams Melton; brother Dr. John Williams (Shirley); grandchildren Robert Preston Williams (Lauren), Brittany Troy Cole (Adam), Harmon Delo Melton, and Zachary Richard Melton (Ashley); great-grandchildren Olivia and Bennett Cole, and Kate Williams.

Visitation will be at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Rd, Houston, TX 77089 on Wednesday, March 9th, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm with a Rosary being prayed at 7:30pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 816 Park Dr, La Porte, TX 77571 at 10:00am on Thursday, March 10th.
