Debbie Lynn Schmidt went to be with the Lord on September 24, 2021. She was born on February 7, 1954, as the oldest child of Merrell Eldon Rohne and Maevelin Eval Rohne. She was born in Houston, Texas where she continued to reside all 67 years of her life.

A graduate of Milby High School, Class of 72. Her entire working career was spent in the title insurance industry with the last 10 years at Title Houston Holdings where she was blessed to have a work family who has been a source of support throughout her tenure with numerous life challenges and especially during the last 5 years. Their love and grace have been more than anyone could have ever asked for.

Debbie is survived by her husband Roy Edwin Schmidt Jr., her son Bo Alexander and wife Hollie Alexander, son Trey Schmidt and wife Summer Schmidt, daughter Sabrina Ehrlich and husband Jason Ehrlich. Grandchildren Paige, Ryder, Emma, Aidan, Nathan and Evie. Sister Leneva Moore and husband Claude, sister Lori Stewart and husband Greg, nieces Heather, Holly, Hailey, nephew Hunter and many close family and friends.

She is preceded in death by grandparents, parents Merrell and Maevelin Rohne, Father and Mother In-Law, Roy and Leona Schmidt.

Debbie devoted her life to her children and grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to support and cheer for them in any sporting activity they were a part of. Her passion and support for racing could never be questioned, especially when rooting for her sons. Always supportive even in defeat but proud to the point of tears when they were first to cross under the checkered flag. She spent thousands of miles traveling with her husband across the US to attend races at historic dirt tracks. It did not matter the type of car, of course sprint cars were her favorite, if Debbie was at a dirt track, she was in heaven. Debbie's devotion and love for her family and friends were immeasurable. She would be the first to drop anything she was doing to help anyone at any given minute.

Debbie was a wonderful wife, mother, Meemaw, Nana and sister. A good and faithful servant of God Debbie ran the race well. She was loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting her and will be greatly missed until we meet again.

The service celebrating Debbie's life will be held at Peevey Funeral Home at 12440 Beamer Rd, Houston, Texas 77089, Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 2pm, with visitation 1 hour prior to service. She will be laid to rest Thursday October 7, 2021 at Houston National Cemetery at 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas 77038.
