Deana Carol Boren of Pearland Texas passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025. Deana was born on December 5, 1961 to Carol Brumley and Dana Ashworth. Deana graduated from Pearland High school in 1980.

Deana was known for her kind heart and willing to help anyone. She was also told she never knew a stranger. Which she didn't. Deana had a beautiful smile that left a lasting impression on anyone she met. Deana was involved with her community in many ways. First, she served with the Brookside Fire Department and then moving on to serve as a member in the Brookside Lions club. Deana was also involved with the city of Pearland serving as a judge for the Christmas parade as well. Deana began working for Perry's Landmark restaurant as a waitress and then quickly became the assistant manager. There she had met more wonderful people and did more exciting things. Deana was no stranger to hard work. If she asked you to do something she was right there working right along beside you. From there Deana began to work for another wonderful company Double Tree by Hilton. Deana spent 10 wonderful years with Doubletree. Deana loved her job the hotel. She made more friends and lasting relationships with co- workers and vendors. Deana was purchasing manager/kitchen manager, which brings us back to cooking. That was something Deana loved to do. She loved to cook for her family. Especially if it was Thanksgiving or Christmas. She always made it special. If you left her house hungry it was your fault. She always made plenty just in case someone stopped by and hadn't eaten yet. Christmas was her time to shine as well. She took pride and joy in decorating her living room and most especially her Christmas tree. Her favorite thing was sitting on the couch at night and just admiring her tree. Deana enjoyed simple things in life. Most of all her loved ones. All of them. So many of them who were not just friends to her but family. A big thanks to Belinda Parker and Cindy Thorton for helping her through this horrible illness.

Deana is survived by her loving husband Terry Boren of Pearland, TX. Her sisters Charlene O'Kelley of Rockport TX, Darah Williams (Lee) of Onalaska, TX. Carrie Brumley (Tracy Barefield) of Daisette, TX. Her daughter Tracy Adam (Rocky) of Pearland TX. Her nephews Jess Ivey of Fulton, TX Terry Hardin Jr. (Bianca) of Katy, TX Carlys Steele (Ashley) of Orange, TX Adam Steele (Lexi) of Bluffton, South Carolina, Haedyn Steele of Bluffton, South Carolina, Carson Steele of Orange, TX, and Ethan Watson of Katy. Her nieces Alexys Steele of Orange, TX Sofia Hardin of Katy, TX, Maclynn, Austin, Daisy and Gracie Steele of Little Cypress, TX, Janiyah Steele of Vinton, LA, Ashley Dickerson (Paul) of Clear Lake, Tiffany Watkins of Pearland TX, and new born twins Hannah and Valerie Hardin of Katy, TX. Her grandson Levi Thompson of Pearland, Tx. Deana also had many other great nieces and nephews.

Deana is preceded in death by her mother and step father Charles and Carol Brumley and her father and step mother Mr. and Mrs. Dana Ashworth. Her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. M.A. Mize and Mr. and Mrs.  B. Ashworth. Her Aunt Marvice Lineberry. Her sister Diana Watson. Her nephew J.R. Steele of Bridge City, TX. Her sister- in- law Karen Jauer of Kountze, TX and her Aunt Sharon Baker of Vidor, TX.

The service will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 2:00pm, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, Texas.
