David Aaron Reeves, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully at his home in Pasadena, Texas on June 4, 2023, at the age of 72. He was born on October 4, 1950, in Camden, Texas, and was the son of the late Lois and Bud Reeves. David spent his early years in Livingston until his family relocated to Huntsville in 1960.

In 1969, David embarked on a remarkable journey when he joined the Navy. Throughout his military career, he and his family lived in many different cities around the world, embracing new cultures and experiences. David encouraged his children to learn new things and explore the richness of each new city they called home. He would often take his family to museums and other adventures, fostering a love for knowledge and a curiosity about the world.

After faithfully serving his country, David retired in 1990 and settled in Pasadena, Texas, with his loving family. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Glo, who held a special place in his heart. He is survived by his children: daughter Robbin and husband Buzz, son Larry and wife Cielisse, daughter Aaryn and husband Tommy, and daughter Melissa and husband Michael. David also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and his siblings Pat, Faye, and Johnny.

David was a man of quiet strength and unwavering loyalty. He had a big heart and always put his family first. Though he rarely spoke of his feelings, he was the rock that supported and protected his loved ones. He had an adventurous spirit and, in his younger years, he found joy in racing cars and riding the waves while surfing in Galveston during the vibrant 1960s. David was also an avid scuba diver, exploring breathtaking locations across the globe.

While David was a man of few words, his actions spoke volumes. He possessed a gentle heart, always putting the needs of others before his own. David had a sweet tooth and a fondness for apple fritters. He found solace in his solitary drives around Pasadena, where he knew every backroad and would often make stops at the park to feed the ducks, finding joy in those simple moments. On his front porch, he would often savor a cup of black coffee, appreciating the beauty of nature that surrounded him.

Among his notable accomplishments, David held a deep affection for the Navy, and he cherished his memories of life at sea. He was proud to have served his country and delighted in sharing stories of his adventures. Additionally, David held a profound love for his mother and dedicated many weekends to assisting both his parents on their family ranch in Huntsville. With diligence and devotion, he worked alongside them, while his beloved wife, Glo, prepared delightful family dinners to be enjoyed together.

A military service honoring David's life will be held on Monday, June 12th, at 11:15 am sharp at the Houston National Cemetery, located at 10410 Veteran's Memorial, Houston, TX 77038, LINE #2. This service will last approximately 30 minutes and will pay tribute to his dedicated service in the Navy. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory for cancer research to the American Cancer Society.

David Aaron Reeves will forever be remembered for his unwavering love, strength, and devotion to his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
