Darlene Cobb Alexander was born on July 26, 1946, to Alfred and Johnnie Clark, and she ascended to be with the Father on August 24, 2023. Darlene was born in Normangee, Texas, where she resided until moving to Houston, Texas. Darlene graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1964. Darlene Married James H. "Jim" Cobb in 1964 and had two wonderful children who she loved with all her heart, Terri Ann, and Jason Alton.

Darlene worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for many years, for a dentist office and an assisted living facility, but spent her last working years at James Avery Jewelry, where she was blessed to have an extremely supportive work family, and truly loved and took great pride in her job. Darlene was a wonderful sister, mother, aunt, and Grandma. She was dearly loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Darlene is survived by her daughter Terri Boatman (husband Joey), son Jason Cobb (wife Erin), grandson Rhett Boatman (wife Samantha), grandson's Ryder, Noah, and Jackson, and three great grandchildren, Beckham, Palmer, and Decker – who she doted on… numerous nieces and nephews… and many other close family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her four sisters – Faye, Mildred, Hazel, and Velma, her brother Doug, and her nieces Lynn Ann and Linda.

To honor Darlene's memory, the family is holding a celebration of her love and life Tuesday,  September 12, 2023, at Peevey Funeral Home, located at 12440 Beamer Road Houston, TX  77089. We invite all who knew and loved her to attend, and to help us celebrate and honor her wonderful life.
