After a courageous and hard-fought battle, Daniel Ortiz departed this life on September 16, 2021, at the age of 48 due to complications from Covid.

Daniel was born on November 16, 1972, in Durango, Mexico, to Micaela Soria and Jesus Ortiz.

He loved to fish, loved his western movies, and was a big country music fan. Daniel enjoyed working with cars and doing automotive repairs and projects. He rebuilt his 1972 Chevy pickup truck himself, the project he was most proud of. he was also extremely proud of the business he built and owned, Daniel Ortiz Services.

Daniel was a friend to many and will be fondly remembered as someone who loved people. He was always smiling and joyful, and he was very giving. Daniel was known to donate HVAC services to people who could not afford them and give his time to help membersof his community whenever he could. He was supportive of local charities and had a very big heart; everyone that knew Daniel would tell you that he'd give you the shirt off his back. He was a man that people were proud to know and call a friend.

Daniel is survived by his sons, Jacob and Nathan Ortiz, his parents Micaela and Jesus, sister Noelle Rodriguez and husband Jesus, brothers Jesse, Alex, and Armando, and numerous other family members and friends, who was a wonderful help and comfort to the family during Daniel's illness.

Daniel's life will be celebrated on Thursday, September 30, at 7:00 PM. at Peevey Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Daniel's name to the American diabetes Association.
