Cynthia Maila (Jones) Rayburn, lovingly known as Cindy or Sissy, passed away on January 30, 2026, at the age of 60. She was a longtime resident of Friendswood, Texas, and leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and deep friendship that will never be forgotten.

Cindy was born on July 20, 1965, in Fort Worth, Texas, and grew up primarily in Houston. From an early age, she had a gift for connection—she truly never met a stranger. Her quick wit, warm humor, and loyal heart made people feel instantly at ease and genuinely seen.

Cindy spent much of her professional life doing what she loved most: connecting with people and traveling the world. She began her career as a flight attendant in 1990 with ExpressJet Airlines and later flew with Republic Airlines until 2021. At the time of her passing, she was working with Myrtle Cruz, Inc. Her years in aviation were marked not only by dedication and professionalism, but by friendships that lasted a lifetime.

Above all else, Cindy loved the Lord. Her faith guided her life and shaped the way she cared for others—with compassion, generosity, and an open heart. She cherished her family and friends, loved to travel, and filled her days with music—equally at home listening to Gospel favorites or classic rock.

Cindy had a rare and beautiful gift: she wanted everyone to be happy. She made sure no one ever felt left out, unseen, or alone. She was the friend who would stay up all night if that's what it took to get you through. She knew exactly what to say when words mattered most, and her presence alone was often enough to bring comfort.

She is survived by her loving husband, David Albert Rayburn; her son, Cody Bryce Hofer; her sister, Robin Nanette Jones; her stepdaughters, Kaitlin Rose Rayburn, Samantha Jo Rayburn, Courtney Alba and her children, Alijah Alba, Amelia Alba and Adaliah Alba; her mother-in-law, Rosemary Rayburn; her brother-in-law, Christopher Dean Rayburn; her sister-in-law, Sheryl Millsap and husband, Mark Millsap; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Wayne Jones and Linda Joy (Gullick) Jones.

Cindy's life was defined by love, generosity, and faith. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and remembered always for the way she made others feel valued, included, and never alone.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, Friday, February 20, at 10:00am.
