Corey Frank McClure, 49, of Dickinson, Texas, passed away on August 30, 2026. Born on September 30, 1976, in Pasadena, Texas, Corey grew up in the Sagemont area and graduated from Dobie High School in 1995.

Corey was the son of Tim McClure and Debi Hummel and brother to Ami Jones and Joshua Hummel.

Corey built a life centered around the people he loved. He was the husband of Kim Genarie McClure and the proud father of Maddison, Timothy, and Kailey McClure.

Corey loved deeply and was fiercely loyal to the people he cared about. He had a big heart and showed it by taking care of others, always wanting to help when he could or find a way to make someone happy. Quick-witted and rarely without a joke, Corey had a way of bringing humor into just about any situation. He was also incredibly resourceful, the kind of guy who could MacGyver a solution to almost any problem. Life handed Corey way more than his fair share of challenges, but he was resilient, determined, and always found a way to keep moving forward.

More than anything, Corey loved his children. Maddison, Timothy, and Kailey were the center of his universe, and there was nothing more important to him than being their dad. He lived for them, loved them beyond measure, and found some of his greatest joy in the time they spent together.

Corey also found tremendous joy in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. One of his happiest places was casting a line at Lake Timpson, where life seemed a little simpler and worries could be left behind. Even better was getting to share that love with his children, creating memories with them doing something that brought him so much happiness.

Throughout his life, Corey's faith in the Lord was a source of strength and comfort. Today, his family holds tightly to that same faith, finding peace in knowing that the pain he carried in this life is gone and that Corey is now at peace in the presence of the Lord.

Corey is survived by his wife, Kim Genarie McClure; his children, Maddison McClure, Timothy McClure, and Kailey McClure; his mother and stepfather, Debi and Roger Hummel; his sister and brother-in-law, Ami and Tom Jones; his brother, Joshua Hummel; his niece, Reese Jones; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Monica and Phil Genarie; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kevin and Stella Genarie; his brother-in-law, Kyle Genarie; and his nephews, Landyn and Kayden Genarie.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tim McClure; his stepmother, Janice McClure; and his niece, Morgan Jones.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Corey on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Road, Houston, Texas 77089. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m.
