Connie Ann
Simmons
Aug 16, 1946 — Nov 1, 2026
Connie Ann Simmons, age 80, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away on November 1, 2026. She was born on August 16, 1946, in Selma, Alabama, and was raised by her adopted parents in Pearland. After graduating from Milby High School, she was a proud graduate of the University of Houston. She was a dedicated teacher in Galena Park and a bookkeeper at South Houston High School. She retired from Pasadena ISD after 30 years of service. After retiring, she and Al loved to travel and take their golf clubs for a round of golf while on vacation. Connie also loved cheering on her favorite sports teams, the University of Houston, the Houston Texans, and her favorite Kentucky Wildcat. She was an instrumental member of South Main Baptist Church in Pasadena where she shared her faith and love for the Lord with those around her. Connie found joy in volunteering at her church, giving back to the community with her annual Christmas Giveaway, and spending quality time with her family. Connie was a beloved wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt and friend.
Connie’s kind and loving nature touched the lives of many people in her community. She embraced every opportunity to be with family and friends; she enjoyed traveling with her daughters on their annual girls’ trips, playing cards with her dear friends, having lunch dates with friends, celebrating birthdays, hosting annual holiday parties, sending cards to her church family and spending quality time with her grandchildren.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Fremont and Velma Spradling, her husband of 50 years, Alvin Cyrus Simmons, Jr. and her daughter Rebecca. Connie is survived by her daughters, Kim Isenberg and her husband Ryan; Carol Riell and her husband Jamie; and Jennifer Simmons; her grandchildren, Amberly, Tate, Luke, Chloe, Avery, Celica, and CJ.
A Celebration of Life will be held at South Main Baptist Church in Pasadena on Thursday, November 5th at 11:30AM. Peevey Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas, is assisting the family with arrangements during this time.
While we mourn her loss on Earth, we rejoice in the knowledge that she has found eternal peace and joy in the presence of our Lord. Her memory will forever be a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Donations can be made in Connie’s honor to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
