Clyde Anthony "Andy" Ratliff, 50, of Houston, Texas, passed away on May 8, 2026. Born on July 31, 1975, Andy lived a life marked by loyalty, creativity, and a deep devotion to the people he loved.

Andy was a man of quiet strength and unmistakable presence. He loved his family fiercely and found constant companionship with his dog, Brick, who was never far from his side. He had a creative spirit and a curious mind-he enjoyed painting, playing video games, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends. These were the moments that brought him joy and allowed him to express the thoughtful, artistic side that those close to him knew well.

He was charismatic, well‑mannered, and steady, with a protective nature that made the people around him feel safe. Andy showed kindness in ways that didn't need an audience-small gestures, thoughtful actions, and a willingness to help whenever he was needed. His humor, his stubborn streak, and his unmistakable spark will be remembered with love.

Andy was preceded in death by his father, Clyde B. Ratliff, and is survived by his parents Beth and Harold Hovland, as well as the love of his life, Melissa Daly, and their son, Thomas Andrew Ratliff, sisters Sara Scott, Leslie Hovland, Kim Hovland and husband Larry Vigil, niece Maxine Scott, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and the many people who were fortunate enough to know him. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his memory will remain a source of strength and comfort to those who loved him.

The visitation will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, Wednesday, May 13, from 5pm until 7pm., The service will follow Thursday, May 14th at 10:00am., also at Peevey Funeral Home.
