Clifford Robert Padgett, beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend to so many, passed away peacefully on February 7th, 2025, in his home away from home Sterling Oaks assisted living. Cliff was born to Clifford and Norma Padgett on May 4th, 1943, in Washington, Indiana.

From an early age he demonstrated his independence and strong work ethic and took his responsibilities of being the man of the house very seriously.  He saved his money to buy the first family car, building a long resume of odd jobs including newspaper delivery boy, roller skate rink guard, golf caddy and waiter at local restaurants to name a few. After graduating high school, he joined the Navy with his cousins and high school buddies who were like brothers to him. He spent 4 years in the Navy often corresponding with his mom about his adventures in the Mediterranean.

After an Honorable discharge from the Navy, he moved to Houston, Texas where he worked for Delta Airlines for 20 years and during that time, he began his own business "Touch of Green" plant leasing company.

Cliff saw an ad in the newspaper for singles professional ballroom dance lessons in Friendswood and along came Bonnie, changing his life for the better. He had found his person and began to live life to the fullest by taking vacations and waltzing through life with his forever dance partner, always by his side.

Cliff is survived by his wife Bonnie Siscoe Padgett, his son Alan Padgett (Jenny Padgett), his grandchildren Connor and Kenzie Padgett and Savanna and Crystal Smith, his sisters Linda Cassiday (Jerry Cassiday) and Toni Damalak, his brothers Dennis Osmon (Barb Osmon) and Rocki Padgett, blended children Scott Siscoe (Karli), Tami Richardson (Scott) and Rob Siscoe (Julie) and numerous blended grand and great grandchildren whom he adored.

Cliff is preceded in death by brother Steven Osmon, sisters Marilyn Osmon Buchanan and Peggy Padgett Coatney, sister-in-law Barb Padgett and daughter Jessica Padgett Smith.

Ever the planner, years ago Cliff wrote his tombstone scripture, and we think it sums him up perfectly "Here lies a proud father and a happy husband. I have lived the American dream, and it was a wonderful life."

We will honor the life of Cliff at Peevey Funeral Home, on Sunday, February 16th, at 11:00am  with visitation one hour prior to the service.
