Christopher "Chris" L. Buckley, 43, has passed away due to complications from a heart surgery. He was born on November 3, 1981 in Pasadena, TX. and left this world August 19, 2025 in Houston, TX.

Chris had a lifelong love of football, playing for Deer Park High School and continuing to be a fan of both college and pro games. He also found joy in music, playing his guitar and occasionally singing. An avid fisherman, he loved hitting the water alone, with his kids, or even on work trips, always with rock music playing as they drove.

He spent more than 20 years working as an electrician, he was a true expert in the trade, and gained extensive experience with various companies.

Christopher leaves behind his mother, Joyce Buckley (81), and his children, Chyenne Buckley (23) Hunter Buckley (12) and Savanna Buckley (14), along with an in-law Eathen Smith (24) and many other family members.

He is met at the golden gates by his dad, Conrad Buckley (1944-2014), and his brother, Charles Buckley (1978-1998), and grandparents.

He passed on his passions to the next generation: his love for rock and roll to his oldest daughter, his love for football to his youngest son, and his love for fishing to both of them. He even shared some of his electrical knowledge with his in-law.

The service for Chris will be held  at Peevey Funeral Home, Friday, September 12, at 2:00pm. with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow Saturday, September 13, at Little River Wilson Valley Cemetery, Little River-Academy, Texas.
