Christopher Allen McDonald, 50, passed away at his home on May 22, 2022 to be with his Lord and Savior. Originally from Laurel, MS, his parents moved their family to Texas in the 70's along with other family members seeking better economic opportunities. He is survived by his wife, Dawn, son, Luke, daughter and son-in-law, Chelsea and Tristan Merrill, granddaughter, Rowan, brother, Tim, parents-in-law, Charles and Sharon Jordan, aunts, Lydia Riley and Linda Craft, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Preceding him in death are his parents Jerry and Judy McDonald and daughter, Alayna.

A long-time resident of the South Belt community, Chris attended Atkinson Elementary, Beverly Hills Intermediate and Dobie High School. He is an alumni of San Jacinto College. It was in high school that he met Dawn, they have been together since.

Chris enjoyed a long and successful career of law enforcement. He started working dispatch for HPD Airport in the early 90's, while attending the Gus George Law Enforcement Academy. Upon graduation he was hired by Baytown Police Department where he enjoyed his time as an officer, school resource officer, and worked his way up in rank to Lieutenant. As Lieutenant he served time as an Admin LT. overseeing the budget and patrol fleet. He also enjoyed his role as a patrol Lieutenant, where he served until his recent retirement.

Chris was a fun loving guy, loved to sing and enjoyed his time with family and friends. His hobbies were cars and politics. He loved his mopars, motorcycles and other unique vehicles. You could always find him working on a project to upgrade something on one of his show cars. His other hobby was politics and he was passionate about his republican beliefs. If not running for election himself, he was serving on the board of the Republican Party of Texas and volunteering for candidates.

The service celebrating Chris' life will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Peevey Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery in Pearland.
