Charles Edward Gary, Jr, 73, went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2021. He was born on September 11, 1948, in Brady, TX as the oldest child of Charles and Frances Gary.

Eddie is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rebecca "Becky" Gary and his daughter Melanie Reyna and her husband Jorge and his three grandchildren, Gabriel, Julianna and Olivia. He also is survived by his younger sister, Jessica Maurine Gary. Eddie is preceded in death by his grandmother, Jessie Roberts and his father, Charles Edward Gary, Sr and his mother, Frances Gary.

Eddie loved to read and learn and had 4 college degrees, including a Mechanical Engineering degree and a Registered Nursing degree. He was an ICU nurse for close to 30 years and finished another 10 years at the UTMB Galveston Poison Control Center, where he then retired. He enjoyed his retirement by reading, growing roses and traveling with his wife. He also enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his family and friends. He was a dedicated husband, father, brother and grandfather, he excelled and took pride in all four roles. He was a faithful Christian and a servant of God, becoming a Christian while attending A&M University, later he would lead his wife to the Lord while they were dating.

A visitation will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Rd Houston, TX 77089, Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 6pm until 8pm. The service celebrating Eddie's life will also be held at Peevey Funeral Home. Friday, October 8, 2021 at 10 am. He will be laid to rest at the Historic Pitman Cemetery in Muldoon, TX at 3 pm, the same day.

His compassionate and kindhearted nature will be missed, but not forgotten. Rest in peace until we meet again, Eddie.
