Charles "Cole" Barnett, a resident of Houston Texas, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday evening, May 3, 2025 in the presence of his mom, sister and beloved dog, Fig. He was 45 years old.

Cole was born on August 5, 1979 in Houston, Texas but moved around a bit as a child, spending most of his childhood in Surrey, England. During his time in England he developed a love for golf, mixing music, cars and forged lasting friendships which he maintained throughout his life. He moved back to the US to attend college and graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas where he continued to cultivate friendships that have remained a staple in his life. While at Baylor, he was a DJ and performed in some of the local clubs in Waco and later in Dallas.  He got into the car business in his early career and transitioned to working in the supply business for oil and gas.

Cole developed into a successful businessman in the oil and gas industry. He used his skills to create new opportunities for the companies he worked for and was an innovative and creative thinker. He was a dedicated, hard worker and was admired by those who worked with him. He was instrumental in building bridges to facilitate the expansion of international business to the United States.

He was known by many as "Uncle Cole" and the children he was close to absolutely adored him. He always had something funny to say or something fun to do to entertain them. He had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh! He loved spending time with his dogs, family and friends. He enjoyed watching movies, all kinds of entertainment and eating a wide variety of delicious food. In his last few months, he particularly enjoyed sushi and all kinds of seafood! He liked to go out running and walking his dogs in the parks and neighborhood. He loved going skiing in Winter Park Colorado since childhood, and traveling to new places, often imagining new adventures in his Land Cruiser with his dogs. He looked forward to his social gatherings with friends and holidays with family. He was a collector of unique and rare art and enjoyed all kinds of music.

Cole was an exceptional son, brother, uncle, father figure and friend. He was preceded in death by his father, Mike Barnett and beloved dog, Dusty. He was survived by his dogs, Fig and Joey, mother, Cindy Barnett, sister, Michelle Morris and husband Ben, nephews, Benton and Avett and niece, Charli Morris. He also served as a father figure for many years to Lily, Jack and Leo Greenwald. He leaves behind many special aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Cole was admired and loved by those who knew him and he will be deeply missed. His kindness, strength, loyalty and genuineness will be forever remembered and his legacy will live on through his family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 17, at 3:00pm. at Central Church in College Station; 1991 FM-158, College Station, TX 77845. A graveside service will follow at Bryan City Cemetery; 1111 N. Texas Ave,  Bryan, Texas 77803
