On February 23, 2024, Cathy Delyane Glass passed peacefully and entered into the presence of God. Her pain was no more, her body was made whole, and a glorious reunion took place as she was greeted by countless family and friends that have gone on before her.

Cathy was born in La Marque, Texas, on the 14th of November, 1957, to Arless and Geraldine Glass. Cathy grew up in the pastoral home of pioneers of the United Pentecostal Church organization. A life of service to God and others was modeled in her life. She naturally followed her parental example and lived in a dedicated way that mirrored what she had been taught. Cathy graduated from Pasadena High School in 1976 and quickly went to work in the oil and gas industry, where she stayed for 30 years. During this time, she started the role she loved most, mother to her two children. In the early 2000s, Cathy answered the call to work full-time in the church her mother and father pastored for decades, The Pentecostals of Pasadena (The Church Triumphant). She worked for the church until she was called home. Whether for work or worship, Cathy was faithful to the house of God.

Cathy's 66 years serving the church were a true testament to a deep-rooted life in her unwavering faith in God and a living example of what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Over the years, naturally, she served in many areas of the church. One of her favorite places to serve was as a Junior High Sunday School teacher. At the time of Cathy's passing, she held the positions of financial secretary and director of the care ministry. She had her finger on the pulse of the various care needs of her church family. She was often the first voice and contact when a member encountered sickness or loss. Cathy was a consistent source of comfort and strength for many as they navigated the most difficult seasons of life, and she always had the perfect encouraging word to help others feel God's peace. She was a ladies' ministry leader, devout worshiper, and a committed prayer warrior. On the first Monday of every month, you could find Cathy leading the Joy Club ladies' prayer and devotion, where you would no doubt hear her say one of her favorite phrases,

"Prayer changes things!" Whether called or self-appointed, she was most in her element and of paramount happiness when serving others.

Cathy was most proud of her newest title, Grammie. She was blessed with four grandchildren, one on the way, and a bonus granddaughter- Shay, Sadie, Carter, Stevie, and Kaylee. They were truly the light of her life, and she was ready with pictures and stories for anyone who walked into her office.

Cathy is preceded in death by her parents, Arless Glass and Geraldine Glass, and her sister, Letha Wise. She is survived by her brother, Rich Glass, her son, Garrett Dennard and daughter-in-law Rachael of Madison, Alabama, and her daughter, Chelsea Corossan and son-in-law Charles of LaPorte, Texas, and a host of family and dear friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 27th at 10:00 am, and the service will begin at 11:00 am at The Church Triumphant, 1030 Strawberry Road, Pasadena, Texas77506. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, Texas77505.

Cathy was a gift and a treasure to all, and there will never be another like her. Until we meet again, we will miss her deeply.
