Cassie E Potts, aged 78, was carried away by His Angels into the Presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ on February 7th @ 4pm, passing peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family. She fought the good fight against an intense and aggressive liver/pancreatic cancer after surviving lung cancer five years prior. Family members & friends visited while many others reached out during the last weeks, providing encouragement, reminiscing good times and sharing Honor & Glory. She was blessed with a tremendous outpouring of love, prayers & care, at complete peace with her life & legacy, remaining steadfast in her Faith, glorifying Our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ with Hope & Belief in her Crown of Eternal Life & hearing the words, "well done my good & faithful servant".

Cassie was born March 21, 1945 in Sundown, TX to John T & Pauline Henderson as the baby of five other children, Johnny T, Marge, Sue, Frank & Joe, growing up in the west Texas country. She is survived by two older sisters, Marge & Sue, and multiple nieces & nephews. She married her High School sweetheart Carroll C Potts 2/2/1963, becoming Mom to Carroll Ray & Candy, then moving to Pasadena TX with family (The 4 C's) to begin her own legacy of matriarchal love, she learned & emulated from her Mother. Ultimately becoming "Granny" to four Grandchildren, Elaina, Christina, Melissa & Brandon and then two Great-Grandchildren, Benjamin & Maya. She is survived by husband and family, three generations strong.

When her children became teens, she started a career in Finance/AP for Baker-Hughes (Cooper-Cameron) in 1979, well-known as an AP guru and beloved by her co-workers, retiring 28 years later. Additionally, she served as a devoted volunteer in the FBC Children ministry for 25+ years teaching children the Word of God, how to worship, pray & sing praises, honor thy father & mother and planting seeds of kindness & mannerisms in a loving & caring fellowship gathering of primarily 2-3 year olds, this was her passion and ministry calling. She also served for decades as a church greeter, a hostess for 'Something Special for Women' gatherings, organizing donations & providing care locally to struggling women & children at 'The Bridge Over Troubled Waters' shelter and often assisted with FBC Funeral services to aid grieving families with love & support during an ominous time of loss.

Many attested over the years praising her Godly gift to be a guiding light & powerful prayer partner for divine intercession, petitioning His Grace & Mercy be granted for Peace & Hope in God's Glory to be timely revealed. She developed deeply devoted relationships with family & friends, many spanning a lifetime and touched so many others with her sweet beaming heavenly smile, loving open arms & sharing tons of laughter. Her greatest joy & pleasure was family gatherings, be it as simple as sharing a meal, attending sports events, or as involved as planning, traveling & touring American landmarks together. She shined the brightest as her glow would intensify with adoration & appreciation when visiting & caring for her Grandkids & Great-Grandkids instilling her legacy of sharing The Gospel, Life, Love & Laughter.

The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church Chapel (7500 Fairmont Pkwy, Pasadena, TX 77505) Thursday, February 15, 2024. The visitation begins at 1:00 pm, and the funeral service at 2:00 pm. Committal will follow at Grandview Funeral Home & Memorial Park/Bethany Cemetery (8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505).
