Carolyn Louise Wood, age 87, passed away on Wednesday August 27, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Born on November 27, 1937, in Baltimore, Maryland. She was the daughter of William and Marion Moon. Carolyn is survived by her brother James Moon and sister Janet Wise, son David, son Wayne, daughter Laura, stepson Floyd (Buddy), stepson William (Billy). She had 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Marion Moon, sister Esther, brother Billy, husband Floyd Wood, ex-husband David Norton Sr., daughter Cynthia, stepson Robert (Bobby).

Carolyn, along with her husband Floyd were avid golfers here in Pasadena Texas. They were members of Strawberry Squares, Square Dance group from Pasadena TX. Also, members of a square dance group in Baltimore MD.

She loved decorating for every holiday, along with baking her famous Aunt Kate's cookies, chocolate chip, M&M, peanut butter Hersey Kiss cookies for Christmas.

Carolyn was a faithful fan of the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles, along with the Houston Astros.

The memorial service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, 815 S. Broadway, La Porte, Texas 77571, Saturday, October 11, at 11am.
