Carole Jean Brannon (Blanchard) , 86 of Pearland TX, passed away peacefully at home on February 7, 2026. She was born on November 14, 1939 in Bastrop county Texas to Ira Newton Blanchard and Etta Irene Blanchard. She married James Carl (JC) Brannon on June 1, 1958. She is survived by her husband JC, daughter Terri Brannon, son Jimmy Brannon and wife Rachel, sister Margaret Slone and brother Ira Blanchard Jr. and wife Tina. Granddaughter Jessa and many nieces and nephews and friends who will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ira and Etta Brannon and brother-in -law, David Slone.

Carole was a proud Master Gardner. She possessed an extraordinary knowledge of flowers and plants. Friends, neighbors, and even strangers sought her advice. Her yard stood as a living testament to her dedication—more botanical garden than backyard—a place of beauty, color, and peace.

She was also in her element when she was cooking and her favorite meals to make for JC was chicken and rice casserole and enchilada casserole.

Her legacy blooms on in the gardens she planted, the meals she prepared, and the family she loved so dearly. Her family is at peace knowing she is in Heaven and reunited with her mom and dad. Forever loved. Forever missed.

A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Rd, Houston, TX 77089.
