With heavy hearts, the Zavala family regrets to announce the passing of Carmen Valdez Zavala. With her husband by her side, she went on to be with our Lord and Savior at 1:38pm on January 30, 2022. Her loving heart, amazing cooking skills, and contagious laughter will be greatly missed.

Carmen was born September 30, 1943 in Mercedes, Texas, she married her love, Pablo Zavala, in 1965. They moved to Corpus Christi, Texas and in 1975 settled in the South Belt area of Houston, Texas.

Carmen is survived by her husband of 56 years, Pablo Zavala, three children, Graciela Anderson, Edward Zavala, and Theresa Zavala. Carmen is also survived by three grandchildren and one great grandchild, two sisters and one brother.

A Memorial service and rosary will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 at 6pm, at Peevey Funeral Home.
