Carlos Ignacio Garza, 66, passed away on August 9, 2025.

Carlos lived a life marked by service and a deep love for his family. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, carrying with him values that enriched both his work and home life. As a first-generation college graduate, he inspired those around him with his determination and perseverance. Known for his strong work ethic, Carlos also had a gift for bringing laughter to others with his quick wit and love for telling jokes. He enjoyed the outdoors—especially hunting and fishing—loved cooking, and most of all, treasured every moment spent with his children and grandchildren, who were his greatest joy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Garza, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Helen Guzman Garza; siblings Joe Garza, Jr., Diana Garza Medina, Miguel (Mike) Garza, Sylvia Garza Maldonado, Larry Garza, Vincent Garza, Alfred Garza, James Garza, Joseph Garza, and Elizabeth Garza Rodriguez; and children Sarah Reynolds, Carlos Garza Jr., Christina Garza, Thomas Garza, and Rebecca Garza. His life and memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 4:00–6:00pm at Peevey Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service from 6:00–7:00pm. A reception will follow from 7:00–9:00pm at Memorial Baptist Church in Pasadena.
