Carl Edgar Talbot passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jennie Forbes Talbot; his parents Tully and Essie Talbot; two brothers and three sisters. Left to cherish his memory are his son Rick Talbot and wife Hilda; grandchildren Kelly Ingrando and husband Bryan, Travis Talbot and wife Holly; great grandchildren Joe, Trent, Sage and Eli, along with a host of other dear family and friends.

Carl was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who cherished time spent with his family.  He grew up around Pearland, Texas where he graduated from Pearland High School in 1948.  Carl was also voted best athlete in his senior year. As a boy he worked on jobs around Pearland learning construction work.  After that he became a draftsman and then an architect working for Wisdom Architects.  Later he started his own firm of Smith-Talbot & Architects.

Carl loved the outdoors where he and Jennie built and owned a beach house in Galveston and later in Sargent Beach.  His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, but especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Carl will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

The celebration of life will be held at Peevey Funeral Home Friday, January 30, at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior to the service.
