Bonnie Jean (Lewis) Huffman passed away Jan. 22, 2022 in Houston, TX. She is survived by sons Kenneth Huffman, John Huffman and wife Wendy, and son in law Dennis Galbraith. She has five grandchildren; Bryce Galbraith and wife Monica, Kyle Galbraith and fiancé Jamie, Ryan Galbraith and wife Beth, Tyra Huffman and Ethan Huffman, great grandchildren Kenneth and Connor Galbraith and many nephews, nieces and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Lewis and Euna Berry Lewis, husband John Kenneth Huffman, beloved daughter Kay Galbraith, sisters Polly Darling and husband Rex, Jewel Gunn and husband Ollie and brother C. Edward Lewis.

She was born in Royal, Arkansas June 1935 as one of four children to Clarence and Euna Lewis. She moved to Houston when she was young and was an alumnus of Milby High School. She met and married her husband John Kenneth Huffman. They were married Jan. 9, 1957 and resided in Pasadena, TX. She was a homemaker and mother of three children.

She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and dutiful mother and friend. She was quiet but strong and her faith guided her daily as she cared for her family. Both her and her husband were members of Thomas Avenue Baptist Church of Pasadena, TX were she had served in the nursery for many years and founding members of Monument Baptist Church of Deer Park. She faithfully read the Bible daily and loved to do word puzzles, paint or color. She was often quiet and seemingly meek but she had strong faith, will and sense of right and wrong that she passed to her family. She loved her family and greatest joys were time with them. She will be greatly missed. She is now rejoicing in heaven with a great reunion with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, husband, daughter Kay and many preciousfamily members. We look forward to our reunion with her and our Lord because of our shared faith.

The family will receive friends for visitation and a sharing of memories, Thursday, January 27, from 6pm-8pm at Peevey Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Union Cemetery in Freestone, TX.
