Bobby Bryant, Sr. was born on March 26th, 1946 to Conway and Geneva Bryant in Warren, Arkansas. At the age of 15, Bobby asked Jesus into his heart and secured his place in Heaven. As he left this earthly home, he was surrounded by his loving family and was greeted joyfully in Heaven by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 23rd, 2022.

One of Bobby's many accomplishments included being a skilled carpenter. He would build anything his loving wife requested. But his most important work on this Earth was his service for the Lord. He surrendered to the ministry at the age of 20 and spent a lifetime caring for the spiritual needs of his congregation and mentoring many young men.

His ministry began in 1966 at Bacliff Missionary Baptist Church in Bacliff, Texas. He was then called as Missionary Pastor to Freeway Missionary Baptist Church in La Marque, Texas (1966 -1983). From 1983 – 2012, he served as pastor of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas until his retirement. At each of these churches, he was devoted to the membership and made many life-long friends.

His number one heart's desire was to win as many souls for Christ as he could. Summers were always about taking kids to summer church camp at Pine Springs and Bogg Springs. He always made sure every kid was able to attend and never left anyone behind. Church functions were a highlight, and he believed in having fellowships at least once a month. Whether it was eating, VBS, Fall Festivals, or playing volleyball in the field, you could always count on him to be right in the middle of it.

More than anything, Bobby loved his family. From his children to great grandchildren, they were his focus in everything he did. Family was his joy, from New Braunfels vacations and sporting events, to birthday celebrations and holidays (especially Christmas).

Bobby was an avid supporter of his Houston Astros and Dallas Cowboys. He also loved hunting and fishing outings with his best friend, Bro. Darrell Streeter. The outdoors was where he always preferred to be.

Bro. Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Gail Bryant. Sister Elevern Curl; Daughter Tammy and son in law, Robby Hudson; Son Bobby Jr and wife Michelle Bryant; Daughter Julie and son in law, Russell Knight; Grandchildren Kristin and husband Jason Enochs; Anna-Marie Bryant; Garrett and wife Vennessa Hudson; Brad and wife Sara Hudson; Wesley Knight; Josh Williams; Mallory and husband Philipp Winston; Nicole Bryant; Shelby Bryant. Great-Grandkids Angela Rivera; Jason Enochs; Jordan Enochs; Kiley Enochs; Arinzo Bryan; Braxton Arnette, Addilyn Hudson; Halle Hudson; Dani Hudson; Niece Margaret Adkins; Nephew Mark Curl; numerous other family members and last but not least his favorite four-legged baby Heidi.

He was preceded in death by his parents Conway and Geneva Bryant, Edna Bryant; Sister Beatrice Bryant, Evergene Curl; Brother Benny Livingston; Brother in law James Curl; Grandsons Caleb and Joshua Bryant.

The visitation will be held Monday, June 27, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Alvin Missionary Baptist Church; 2102 W Lang St, Alvin, TX 77511. The funeral service will also be held at the Church, Tuesday, June 28, at 10:00am., interment will follow Forest Park East Cemetery.
