Bobby Ray "Booger" Cannon, 77, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on June  1, 2025, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

He was preceded in death by his father Bonnie Ray Cannon, mother Bobbie Jean Crawford, stepfather Cecil Crawford, and sister Bonnie Jean Hart. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara Cannon; his four children, Sid Curtis, Steve Cannon, Kim Curtis, and Susan Cannon; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bobby was a retired Houston Police Sergeant with over 33 years of service. Known for his sharp wit, firm handshake, and deep love for Dr Pepper, M&M's, and anything that went "boom" or "vroom," he made a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Born in Alvin, Texas and raised in Hitchcock, Texas, Bobby had a lifelong fascination with airplanes and firearms that turned into a deep respect for safety, service, and craftsmanship. In retirement, he spent his days with Barbara enjoying the grandkids, traveling, watching the History Channel and gun videos on YouTube, playing Call of Duty, and aggravating Barbara just enough to keep things interesting.

He was a proud Texan who loved fishing, motorcycles, Blue Bell ice cream, root beer, Westerns, Chick-O-Sticks, homemade fudge, classic country music, and anything with John Wayne. His grandkids knew "Pawpaw" for his sweet tooth, great stories, and snide remarks.

His body was donated to science per his wishes. The service honoring Bobby's life will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Road, Houston, TX 77089, at 2:00pm, Sunday, June 8, 2025, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
