On February 14, 2024, Beverly Ann Williams, beloved wife, sister, aunt, friend, and devoted servant of the Lord, passed away in the Cottages at Clear Lake after a long courageous fight with Alzheimer's.  Beverly was born in Terre Haute, Indiana to her late mother, Helen Louise Atkinson, and father Robert Atkinson.  The family moved to Texas City in the early 60's where Beverly graduated from Texas City High in 1965.

After agreeing to take a government typing test just to get out of a day high school, Beverly did so well she was offered a secretarial position with NASA at the Johnson Space Center.  Her first job was at Ellington Field where she typed draft deferments for newly-hired engineers.

Whatever job she was given, Beverly did it with zeal and pride.  She was especially proud of working with the scientist from the NASA Lunar Receiving Lab where she typed all the transfer paperwork necessary to send samples of the Apollo moon rocks around the world to eager researchers.

She also enjoyed a short, three year stint in Las Cruces N.M. at the White Sands Test Facility in 1978 because she believed the climate would be better for her asthma.This is where she first met the future love of her life, Ronald.

She moved back to JSC in 1981 to building 17 into a division that was dissolved two years later.  In 1983, Beverly transferred to the planning office of the Center Operation Directorate's Facility Engineering Division as a secretary and administrative assistant.  From there, Beverly worked her way up the ladder to the high GS-11 position of Program Analyst in the Office of Procurement, where she managed millions of dollars of construction funds.  After an illustrious thirty-eight years, Beverly retired from NASA on April 1st 2005.

When Beverly joined the Facility Engineering Division, she found that she was, once again, in the same organization as Ronald.  After twelve more years of being friends, sports teammates, and confidants, Beverly and Ronald finally realized they were made for each other and got married on July 15, 1995.  They were happily married for twenty-eight years before the Lord called Beverly home.

Although she never had kids of her own, Beverly never met a kid she didn't like.  Beverly and Ronald joined Sagemont church after being saved on Easter Sunday in 1994.  Beverly immediately started teaching kid's Sunday bible study.  She volunteered her time gladly for the next fifteen years.  After deciding that she needed to do something different for a change, she volunteered to help the church cut-ups, the group of ladies that create the activity packets for the children's bible study classes on Sunday.  The ladies loved it when Beverly joined their group.  Not only because she was a great little worker, but because she gave each one of them a wonderful back rub each week.

Beverly is survived by her husband Ronald, her sister Joanna Sidiropoulos, her brother-in-law Paul Sidiropoulos, her niece Becky Hernandez, and grand –nephews and grand –nieces, Damien Hernandez, Laila Hernandez, Niklas Hernandez, and Jaslyn Arredondo, and best friend Lindy Bayer.

Beverly Ann will be greatly missed and always loved! In honor of Beverly, wear something purple if you have it.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in the memory of Beverly Williams can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Beverly's Celebration of Life will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, Saturday, March, 9 at 11:00am., with visitation one hour prior to the service. A luncheon will be held for service attendees at the Sagemont Church Annex, 11600 Hughes Road, Houston Texas 77089.
