Bettye Anne Moore Bozman, 86, passed away on March 22, 2026, in Houston, Texas. Born in Kaufman, Texas, on October 5, 1939, she lived a life marked by her nurturing personality and dedication to the well-being of others.

Bettye graduated from Kaufman High School, and after marrying and starting a family, she built a notable career overseeing the Claims Department for State Farm Insurance in the Houston area. Her professional life was distinguished by a caring approach, ensuring that each client was treated with respect and empathy.

A woman of faith, Bettye cherished her moments at Wilson Chapel in Kaufman, where she grew up worshiping and playing the piano during Sunday services. This place held a special significance throughout her life, symbolizing both her spiritual devotion and her love for music.  More recently, she rekindled her love to worship her Lord through the use of technology.  She would listen to her favorite hymns and gospel songs and would proudly listen to her son preach, thanks to YouTube.

Her hobbies included painting, reading, and playing the piano, which brought joy not only to her but also to those around her. Bettye shared a passion for model railroading with her late husband, Don, creating intricate layouts that were a testament to their shared creativity and precision. Additionally, she enjoyed playing dominoes, a pastime that often brought family and friends together in laughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bain Bozman; her father, Arthur "Buster" Moore; her mother, Mary "Midget" Moore; her brother, Gerald Don Moore; and her sister-in-law, Connie Lee Moore. Bettye's legacy continues through her son, Bryan Bozman and his wife, Karen; grandchildren, Kristi and Russell Bozman, who will miss her deeply.
