Betty June Keener Childers 91, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026, in Houston, Texas. Betty was born on August 25, 1934, in Ranger, Texas, to Jack & Bonnie Keener.

She lived a life centered on faith, family, and love, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Betty will be remembered for her loving and caring heart and her unwavering devotion to God and her family. She welcomed everyone who entered her home with a warm smile and big hug, making each person feel loved and accepted. Her kindness, generosity, and compassionate spirit touched countless lives.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother, Betty loved her family fiercely. She was always there with encouragement, comfort and unconditional love whenever she was needed. Her greatest joy was spending time with those she loved and creating a home where everyone felt welcomed.

A woman of deep faith, Betty loved her church and faithfully worshiped Jesus throughout her life. Her trust in God was evident in the way she lived and served others, and her legacy of faith will continue to inspire her family for generations to come.

She is survived by her children: Hal & Belinda Childers of Canyon Lake, Texas; David (Hoss) & Susan Childers of Crystal Beach; & Cathy & Rusty Carter of Waller, Texas; along with her beloved grandchildren, Chad Childers, Kenny Childers & Christie Chreene, Cody & Tanya Cooley, Chelsea & Caleb Turnbull, Joey & Courtney Childers, Becky & Earl Smith, Chrystah Carter, Aaron & Cynthia Skaggs, Chelsea Carter, Natalie & Emmanuel Urbina & Nicole Skaggs and 18 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack & Bonnie Keener; husband, Harold L Childers; her siblings & spouses; Pat & Davelyn Keener, Frankie Cordray & Dennis, Jane Ramsey & Mike Keener and numerous other family & friends, who she cherished.

A memorial service will be held at Peevey Funeral Home 12440 Beamer Rd. Houston, Texas 77089; Wednesday, July 22, at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will follow at Houston Nation Cemetery.
