It is with both gratitude for a radiant life and sorrow for his absence that we announce the passing of Benjamin James Oren, a man whose warmth, generosity, and infectious joy brightened every room he entered. At 74 years young, Benjamin lived fully, loved deeply, and laughed often, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and cherished moments.

A devoted father of four, he found his greatest joy in nurturing his family with humor, wisdom, and unwavering love. His spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched, the laughter he shared, and the values of compassion and resilience he instilled in those closest to him.

While we mourn his loss, we celebrate a life beautifully lived—a testament to the power of love, optimism, and living with an open heart.

He was the beloved son of Walter Douglas and Beverly Olivia LeVack Oren, and is survived by his four children: Doug, Valerie, Alan and Alfredo, his grandchildren: James, Luke and Olivia, one great grandchild, Freya, and many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prelude Music Foundation or Girls Rock Camp Houston, local nonprofits that support music education and youth empowerment—honoring his lifelong love of guitar and music.

The service honoring Benjamin's life will be held at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Road, Houston, TX 77089, at 2:00pm, Sunday, June 29, 2025, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
