Barbara Anne Buckley Meacham was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 31, 2022.

Barbara was born in Cleveland, MS on November 17,1949 to Allen Earl Butler and Martha Burrows Keywood. After Barbara graduated from Ruleville High School in 1967, she went on to graduate with a degree in Nursing from Delta State University.

Barbara's nursing career started in Labor and Delivery. Her professional career spanned decades and allowed her to work in many different specialties within patient care. She began working for HCA Healthcare in Information Technology and was an excellent teacher. She retired after 25 years with the company.

Barbara was predeceased by her father Allen Earl Butler; mother Martha Burrows Keywood Mikhailoff; Stepfather Vadim "Mike" Mikhailoff; and husband Dwayne L Meacham.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Donna Dobson Varnado and her son in law Tony Varnado; and grandchildren Callie Varnado and William "Hunter" Varnado of Mandeville, LA ; two stepsons Dwayne Jr. and his wife Kathy; Larry; two stepdaughters, Cheryl Arterburn and Tana and Pat Foster along with many grandchildren.

Barbara had so many passions and things that she loved. She had a love for travel, friendship, music, animals, wonderful food, the Astros and Bingo.

Her greatest passion was relationships with people of all walks of life and she never met a stranger. She loved her time with her church family at Sagemont Church with the choir and helping with Vacation Bible School. She gained a new family at Brookdale Senior Retirement Community when she moved there in 2018 with lots of adventures, card games and Bingo.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Rose, Susan G Korman, Sagemont Church, or a non-profit Animal Rescue of your choice in Barbara's name.

A celebration of life will be held at Sagemont Church in the small chapel, Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 1:00pm.
