Barbara Nell Tribble McCombs passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, in Baytown, Texas, at the age of 86. She was born on November 27, 1938, in Franklin, Texas, to Ralph Tribble and Idella Johnson Tribble.

Barbara was known for her sweet smile, deep dimples, and the joy she brought to those around her. She found purpose in helping others and was happiest when surrounded by family. A loving sister, mother, and wife, she cherished family gatherings and created a warm, welcoming home filled with laughter, music, and the delicious meals she lovingly prepared. Time spent in the kitchen cooking for her loved ones was one of her greatest joys.

A devoted member of the Christian faith, Barbara lived a life rooted in love, kindness, and generosity. She will be remembered for her joyful spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and the comfort she brought to so many.

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved siblings. She is survived by her husband, Stan McCombs; her children, Clarence Dixon, Steven Dixon, Terri Dixon-Bannister, and Mickey Dixon; and by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister, Linda Dodson; sister-in-law, Helen Tribble; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

Barbara's life was a beautiful testament to the power of love, family, and faith. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00pm,Saturday, August 9, at Peevey Funeral Home.
