It's a joy that we were blessed to have someone this special in our lives. Antrell brought peace and happiness to everyone's life that knew her.

Antrell Dwan Phillips was born on October 23, 1985, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the union of the late Anthony Phillips, Sr., and Wanda Mackie-Harvey.   She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at King Solomon Baptist Church in New Orleans, LA. She later joined Silverlake Church Beyond Sunday in Houston, TX.

Antrell was a 2003 high school graduate of West Jefferson High School in Harvey, LA. Antrell graduated with associate degree in criminal justice from San Jacinto College and bachelor's degree from UHCL.  Antrell was an employee of Nasa Contractor – PSI and former employee of TSA Bush/Hobby Airports, UHCL police department, Day n Zimmerman, and Belle Chase Naval Base, Belle Chase, La.

She was one of the founders of Alpha Psi Nu Fraternity, Inc.  She was a part of CSO – Criminology Student Organization & Alpha Phi Sigma, and National Criminal Justice Honor Society - UHCL Chapter Door.

Antrell was a dedicated daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. She was a peacemaker, was always willing to help others in need, give words of advice, and caring. She had a smile that was infectious, and it always made others want to smile.

Antrell enjoyed giving gatherings to bring the family together.  Her smile would light up the room. She would sing and dance with her mother. She loved her New Orleans Saints. She was a diehard fan, win or lose. Most of all, Antrell loved her family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her special memories, her mother Wanda Mackie-Harvey (Walter), one sister, Ebony Phillips, one brother, Anthony Phillips Jr., one niece, Amiyah Phillips, three nephews, Anthony Phillips III, Aaron and Isaiah Phillips, godchild, Journee' Dwan Barnett, God parents, Debra Jones and Brian Gibbs, a bonus son Javonte Dillon, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father Anthony Dwayne Phillips Sr., grandparents, Annie May and John Mackie Sr., Vera, and James Phillips Sr., three uncles, one aunt, and cousins.

The service will be held at 11:00am., Saturday, January 13, at Peevey Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
