Ann Marie Piazzola LaClaire, the beloved matriarch of our family, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on December 21, 1939, in Staten Island, New York, she resided in Rosenberg, Texas, at the time of her passing. She built a life filled with love, laughter and family, and left behind a legacy characterized by her spirited personality, unwavering support, her generous heart and enduring love.

Ann's greatest joy and achievement was her large, close-knit family and the simple pleasures they shared together. She was a loving mother who always put her family first. She had a passion for spending sun-drenched days by the pool, where she cherished every moment with her beloved husband, children, and grandchildren. Her home was a haven for creativity, always bustling with her latest arts and crafts project. Her Italian family dinners were not just meals but celebrations of love and togetherness, where her feisty spirit and generous heart were always on full display. Her home was a gathering place where laughter and love were in abundance.

Ann is survived by her husband Perry F. LaClaire, with whom she recently celebrated her 46th wedding anniversary in January, by her five children; Kathleen Oldag, Laura Ann Failla, Diane Rogers, Jeffrey Scott LaClaire (Debbie LaClaire) and Aimee Renee LaClaire, by her grandchildren; Megan Oldag (Kyle Hanson), Kevin Oldag (Elizabeth Oldag), Ashleigh Failla, Makenzie Failla, Adam Gobel (Lisa Gobel) and Jeffrey LaClaire (Azalee LaClaire) and by her great grandchildren; Austin Janak, Hayden Hanson and Sebastian Gobel.

Ann's presence in our lives was a gift, and her memory will continue to inspire and uplift us as we say farewell to an extraordinary woman. She will endure in the hearts of those she touched, and her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those who loved her.

Her legacy of love and creativity will be cherished by her family and friends forever. Showing her lasting love and impact, her husband always told her, "I've had the time of my life and I owe it all to you."

A Celebration of Life will be held 2-5pm, Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 613 East 15th St, Houston, TX 77008. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived, sharing stories and memories that highlight Ann's remarkable spirit, and honor the vibrant life she led and the deep impact she had on those around her.
