ANDREW RODRIGUEZ TRISTAN, Age 88, was born in Houston, Texas. His parents, Mr. Asencion Tristan and Santos Rodriguez had ten children. Andrew was the seventh child, born on Nov. 30, 1936. He married Esmeralda Gil in 1959. They were married 56 years, together again after 10 years. Andrew served in The U. S. Navy, aboard an aircraft carrier during the Korean War, during active duty. He loved his music … from Soul to Rhythm & Blues, Tuff Sax- Ace Cannon, Classic Country and more. Our father has always been known for his wit, his spontaneous jokes, his humor was robust, which resulted into teachable moments and laughter in that moment.

Andrew R. Tristan, known as Son, Brother, Husband, Dad, Pops, Father-in-Law, or as Paw-Paw and Paw-Paw-OG passed away peacefully with family by his side.

He is survived by four siblings, four children, six Grandchildren and eight Great Grandchildren and several meaningful family members, and friends. Andrew's hobbies were playing golf, coaching youth sports, helping with the Church Bizarre's and The Catholic Daughters of America. He drove these ladies everywhere.

Son & Family: Mr. & Mrs. Christopher & Ileana Tristan Jonathan, Monica, Amber & Aaron Tristan, Christopher Nick Tristan.

Dad as a young kid became a caddy to earn money for his family but he developed a love for this sport of "GOLF."  He enthusiastically shared this passion with his brother's and forever changed the Tristan Generation of the 1950's into the Golfer's of America. The Tristan Family Reunions often revolved around golfing activities. One man's passion "Andrew R. Tristan" forever changed the future Tristan generations for the love of Golf, Family & Competition.

The visitation will be held from 4:00pm until 5:30 pm Saturday, July 26, 2025, the service will follow at 5:30pm at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Road, Houston, Texas 77089. Interment will be held at 11:00am., Tuesday, July 29, at Houston National Cemetery. Located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Tx. 77038. Park in *Lane1.
