Obituary

With heavy hearts, the family of Andrew James Nguyen shares the passing of our beloved son, brother, nephew, and grandson, who left this world on September 30, 2026, at the far too young age of 24.

Andrew was born on July 20, 2002, in Houston, Texas. As a baby, he was lovingly nicknamed the “Gerber Baby” because of his huge dimples whenever he smiled and laughed. Growing up, Andrew was kind to others and deeply loved his family. His sense of humor was infectious, and he had a wonderful ability to make the people around him laugh and feel at ease.

Andrew was an extremely hard worker—someone you could always count on to help with any task. He took pride in doing things right the first time and never complained. He was respectful and polite to everyone he met. He enjoyed fishing, playing computer games, and watching YouTube videos, many of which he loved to share with his friends and family. More than anything, though, Andrew simply loved being around the people he cared about.

Andrew is survived by his loving parents, Timothy Nguyen and Jamie Stovall-Nguyen; his sisters, Ashley, Amanda, Ariana, and Emma; and his brother, Nathan. He will be deeply grieved and missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He will be especially missed by his grandfather, Jim Stovall (“Bop Bop”), and Ba Noi. Andrew will be joining his Maternal Grandmother Patricia Stovall, Paternal Grandfather Sang Nguyen, and Uncle Anthony Nguyen in heaven.

A viewing for Andrew will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Peevey Funeral Home – Beamer Chapel. Following the viewing the family will follow Andrew’s wishes with a private cremation.

For those who would like to support Andrew’s family during this difficult time, a GoFundMe has been established in his loving memory. Any support, prayers, and kindness are deeply appreciated.
