With profound sadness, the family of Alberto Rodriguez announces his passing on July 22, 2026, at the age of 88.

Alberto was born on August 7, 1937, in Cascajal, Cuba. From a young age, he understood the value of hard work, beginning his career as a milkman at just 17 years old. After immigrating to the United States, he worked for many years as a truck driver, dedicating himself to providing a better life for his family through honesty, determination, and perseverance.

Although he built his life in the United States, Alberto never lost his deep love for his native Cuba. He found great joy in sharing stories of his homeland with family, friends, and anyone willing to listen. Through those conversations, he preserved the memories, traditions, and spirit of Cuba, ensuring that its rich heritage would live on in the hearts of those around him. Until the very end of his life, he held onto the hope of seeing a free Cuba.

Alberto was known for his generosity, kindness, and willingness to help anyone in need. In his later years, one of his greatest pleasures was keeping in touch with family and friends through regular phone calls, checking on their well-being and reminding them they were loved. His thoughtful conversations and genuine concern for others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Gloria Rodriguez, and his cherished daughter, Gloria Barbara Rodriguez.

Alberto is lovingly survived by his son, Albert Rodriguez; his daughter, Grisel Wallace, and her husband, Lee; his daughter-in-law, Karen; and his treasured grandchildren, Nicholas, Gabriella, and Matthew, who brought him endless pride and joy.

Alberto will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend—a hardworking man with a generous heart, a gifted storyteller, and a proud Cuban whose love for his family and his homeland never wavered. His legacy of love, resilience, compassion, and unwavering devotion will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.
